The over-the-counter derivative transaction resource

Swaplaw was created to facilitate legal research of over-the-counter derivative transactions.

The legal bibliography provides references and citations to literally hundreds of legal articles and materials that discuss OTC derivatives.

In addition to the legal Bibliography, Swaplaw provides citations to statutes and case law relevant to the OTC derivatives area.

Finally, Swaplaw lists the most important OTC derivative websites and links for reference and research.

spacer spacer spacer Professor Christian A. Johnson is a Professor of Law and Faculty Director of the Business Law Center at the Loyola University Chicago School of Law.

Over the past decade, Professor Johnson has written extensively about the derivatives industry and represented some of the most active participants in the derivatives market.

Professor Johnson was the Executive Editor for the Columbia Law Review and practiced with Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy in New York and Mayer, Brown & Platt in Chicago.

Mastering Collateral Management and Documentation

This practical guide provides negotiators with a clear, concise explanation of the topic, from an operational perspective and with particular focus on the five ISDA Credit Support Documents.

Collateral is now big business. In January 2001 the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, Inc. (ISDA) calculated that between US$175-200 billion was pledged as collateral to protect credit exposure in the derivatives market. The authors estimate that 20-25% of interest rate and currency swap trades are now covered by collateral.

This book describes collateral documentation in jargon-free, concise terms making it the must have book for all junior and experienced negotiators in this field.
